We at Dental Designs of Roseville have made the hard decision to temporarily suspend operations for all elective non – emergency treatment. After reviewing all the research available on what we know about the COVID-19 virus we want to be part of helping limit the spread of the virus.
As you may all know now, the COVID-19 / SARS-CoV-2 virus spreads by breathing, coughing, or sneezing, and hence the minimum 6 foot distance recommendation. In a dental office equipment setting, however, there always exists a chance that aerosols can be generated, increasing the chance to spread out superseded the COVID-19 / SARS-CoV-2 virus.
It is for this reason, that we feel, in the best interests of our patients and team members , that we do our part for the community in the overall fight to keep this virus from spreading as fast. The faster we can keep this from multiplying, the quicker we can get this under control as a whole.
This was not an easy decision to make, but we feel this is the right ethical move at this time. We will always be here to address infection, pain, or sever dental emergencies, as we must do our part to minimize any patients going to the emergency rooms at the local hospital.
